LEBANESE BAKLAWA: Baklava is a rich, sweet pastry made of layers of filo pastry filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with syrup. TASTING NOTES: Lebanese baklava differs from Turkish baclava and Greek baklawa. Lebanese baklava has just enough syrup for sweetness and in our opinion the perfect balance of filo crunch and nuttiness. Greek and Turkish baklava is usually soaked in syrup and the sweetness may be overpowering however some may prefer this.
